This year’s BIPOSA takes place

General

BIPOSA is a three day meeting.

Registration will be confirmed on receipt of payment only. BIPOSA does not reserve places.

Everyone (including speakers, moderators, presenters, poster authors) has to register and pay to attend BIPOSA.  There are no free places. Options to register daily, for two days or three days. We offer a reduced rate for BIPOSA members and for orthoptists only to attend Thursday & Friday. We offer a reduced rate for medical students and foundation doctors. There are no other reduced rate combinations. It is less expensive if you register and book for all three days

BIPOSA membership registration fee rate

BIPOSA members ONLY receive the member rates. BIPOSA membership is valid subject to approval by the Executive Committee PLUS payment of an annual subscription fee. BIOS membership does not count as BIPOSA membership.

If you are not a member and would like to join BIPOSA, please refer to the membership section. If you believe you qualify, submit your application before registering for the meeting, as retrospective membership applications are not accepted. If you register as a member but are not yet a member, a £100 administration fee will be charged. If you are unsure about your membership status, please contact us before registering

Invoices

BIPOSA is not accepting requests for invoices this year. We kindly ask that you do not request an invoice, as we will not be able to provide one

Cancellation policy

Before 31st August 2026, all refund requests are subject to a £75 administration fee (PLUS card processing fees). We will refund you by payment method minus the £75 plus card payment processing fees. Please provide a doctor note or letter of extenuating circumstances for requesting a refund. 

After 01st September 2026 we will consider your request for a refund; however, this is not guaranteed and will only be granted in extenuating circumstances. Examples include serious illness (not minor illness), bereavement, or hospital admission. Requests related to minor illness (e.g., cough or cold), technical issues, study leave issues, transport or childcare problems, or travel cancellations are not considered extenuating circumstances. Please provide appropriate supporting evidence with your request. Any refund granted after 01st September will be subject to a £150 fee

Medical students and FY1 & FY2

Medical students and Foundation Dr 1&2 – email ID and list of requirements for meeting

Medical Student special daily rate of £90 – university photo ID required, email ID with requirements for payment details

Foundation Dr level 1 or 2 special daily rate of £120 – hospital photo ID required, email ID with requirements for payment details

  • Reception venue  – Rum Wharehouse, Titanic Hotel, Stanley Dock, Regent Road, Liverpool, L3 0AN
  • Free event for those with a meeting ticket (pre-booking essential)
  • Doors open at 6.00 pm and reception ends at 7.30 pm
  • Dress code: smart casual

    • Ticketed event. Price £80 includes a set 3 course dinner and dancing
    • Doors open at 7 pm. Meal served between 7.45 pm and 10.15 pm

Dietary Options

    • Allergies will only be catered for if notified at the time of booking
    • A vegetarian or vegan meal will be provided if requested at the time of booking (vegetarian will be provided if halal has been requested)
    • Please note that changes cannot be made on the night and any menu swap on the night will incur a fee
