BIPOSA is SOLD OUT for Thursday and Friday and the dinner

There is no reserve list, and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone at the meeting without a valid ticket for Thursday and Friday. 

The venue has a strict capacity limit, and for health and safety reasons, we cannot accept any further delegate registrations.

We cannot make exceptions, so please do not contact us regarding tickets or turn up at the meeting expecting to be accommodated.

Registration and Payment Policy

Please note that we are not accepting requests for invoices this year. We kindly ask that you do not request an invoice, as we will not be able to provide one. We are unable to process registrations via purchase order, set organisations up as suppliers, or enter into extended administrative correspondence regarding alternative payment arrangements.

Places are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. We are unable to reserve places or hold registrations pending payment. Payment must be made at the time of registration via the online booking system. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be guaranteed until payment has been received.

Parking

Titanic Hotel Liverpool car park is managed by Euro Car Parks and has 130 parking spaces available on site and an overflow car and coach parking adjacent to the hotel of 300 spaces on Walter Street. The car park uses automatic number plate recognition and parking should be paid on each departure. Parking can be settled via the pay machines on each site or by the ECPparkbuddy App with Location ID: Titanic Hotel ID: 683507 or Walter Street ID:  685908

The Local Organising Committee has organised a social media competition exclusively for meeting delegates, with the chance to win a professional portrait session during the BIPOSA Liverpool meeting.

Eligibility: A valid BIPOSA Liverpool meeting registration is required to enter

Portrait sessions will take place during the lunch break on Thursday and Friday only

    BMJOO abstract inclusion: 1st author registration payment AND publication agreement form returned: 10 am on 01st August 2026 (or will not be included and BIPOSA’s decision is final, no exceptions)

    Submission of free paper audiovisual material: 10 am on Monday 21st September 2026

    Paper posters

    All printed posters must be produced in A1 portrait format

    An A1 poster size in portrait format is:

    59.4 cm × 84.1 cm

    594 mm × 841 mm

    You are responsible for putting up your own poster. Paper posters should be mounted on Wednesday morning and removed on Friday afternoon. Posters will remain on display throughout the meeting and will be available for viewing across all three days.

    As a condition of acceptance, the first named author must register for the meeting, pay the applicable registration fee by the stated deadline, and attend in person for at least one day of the meeting.

    Evaluation

    Evaluation opens on 03rd October 2026 and will be open for eight weeks. After completing the evualtion you will recieve an email with a self-completing attendance certificate (this means you have to type in your name and save to your local machine)

    Certificates

    CPD has evolved to focus on self-reflection not collection of evidence. If you complete the evaluation you will recieve a certificate of attendance automatically. BIPOSA does not email out certificates. Self-completing certificates are emailed automatically when you complete the evaluation form. If you require a certificate for your portfolio then please ensure you complete the meeting evaluation.  It is your responsibility (not BIPOSAs) to download and keep your certificates safe

    Annual Prizes, Bursaries and support

    BIPOSA is pleased to announce that once again it will be supporting early career researchers, medics in training and orthoptists. For more detailed information on prizes visit our prizes section

    Supporting newly qualitified orthoptists

    BIPOSA supports student orthoptists and awards prizes to the top student nominated by their course tutor. This applies to the University of Sheffield, University of Liverpool, University of Glasgow and University of London. Criteria is the student must take up a post in Orthoptics in the UK.

    BIPOSA provides each prizewinning student with  a free ticket to the meeting on Thursday & Friday PLUS an honorarium of £200 to go towards their travel / accommodation.
