Poster village
As a new initiative at this year’s BIPOSA, we are inviting a selection of poster authors to give a short oral presentation of their poster during the lunch break each day. This will be in the “poster village” area located on the Mezzannine Corridor not the main auditorium. Each invited author has a maximum of three minutes and three slides to give their key findings, and the overall impact of their work. Please note that this is by invite only and not open to all poster authors.

The prizes are open to the first (submitting author) only that has complied with the BIPOSA guidance on submitting a poster
All first (submitting) poster authors must be registered by 1 August 2026 to be included in the listing and programme. To be eligible for a prize, authors must also attend the meeting in person and put up their poster on Wednesday

BMJOO abstract inclusion: 1st author registration payment AND publication agreement form returned: 10 am on 01st August 2026 (or will not be included and BIPOSA’s decision is final, no exceptions)
BMJ Ophthalmology Online
BMJ Open Ophthalmology is a companion journal to British Journal of Ophthalmology. It adheres to the highest industry standards concerning publication ethics.
BIPOSA is working as an affiliate organisation with BMJ OO for this year’s annual meeting. We are offering delegates the
opportunity to have the accepted abstract (either poster or oral) published online in the BMJ OO. There is usually a £50 fee for this service, however on this occasion BIPOSA will cover the fee.
If your work is accepted and you wish your abstract to be included in BMJ Open Ophthalmology, you must follow the instructions and deadlines provided by email. Inclusion requires full meeting registration with payment of the registration fee by the stated deadline, and submission of the author declaration form. Indicating consent alone does not guarantee inclusion. The deadline is 10 am 01st August 2026. There is no ecxeption in any circumstances to this deadline.
If we do not hear from you, the author declaration form is not returned, and/or you have not registered and paid the meeting registration fee by the 01st August 2026, we will assume you do not wish your abstract to be published, and it will not be included. No exceptions will be made, and no deadline extensions will be granted.
