Evaluation
Evaluation opens on 02nd October and will be open for four weeks. Scan the QR below with your camera phone to open the link or open directly in your browser
After completing the evualtion we will recieve an email with self-completing certificate (this means you have to type in your name and save to your local machine)
Certificates
CPD has evolved to focus on self-reflection not collection of evidence
It is your responsibility to download and keep your certificates safe if required. We do not provide copies.
Self-completing certificates are emailed after completing the evaluation form above or are available to download using the links below. These will be avaialable until 31st December
Free paper and rapid fire presentations
There are four free paper prizes of £500 each awarded to the best free papers presented at the meeting

Posters
This year posters are all paper posters. These must be A1 in portrait format only
You must have a ticket for the meeting to show your poster and for it to be listed online
All poster authors must be registered by 16th August 2024 to be included in the listing and programme
There is a £500 prize for the best paper poster displayed at the meeting

Annual Prizes, Bursaries and support
BIPOSA is pleased to announce that once again it will be supporting early career researchers, medics in training and orthoptists. For more information on prizes visit our prizes section
There will be four prizes (each to a value of £500) awarded in the following categories in the free paper sessions:

- Best Paediatric free papers (two prizes)
- Best Strabismus free paper (two prizes)

There will be one poster prize (to a value of £500) awarded in the following category to any grade:

- Best paper poster displayed at the meeting

The Royal Society of Medicine Ocular Motility section awards a £250 cheque to the best strabismus paper presented at BIPOSA (subject to also presenting at the RSM section meeting usually held in January) awarded to any grade
Supporting newly qualified / student orthoptists
BIPOSA supports student orthoptists and awards prizes to the top student nominated by their course tutor. This applies to the University of Sheffield, University of Liverpool, University of Glasgow and University of London
BIPOSA provides each prizewinning student with a free ticket to the meeting on Thursday & Friday PLUS an honorarium of £200 to go towards their travel / accommodation.
Other support
To support orthoptists with the cost of producing a paper poster, BIPOSA will give a grant of up to £50. This is to reimburse the cost of private printing a poster on production of a receipt. BIPOSA will not cover hopsital / university medical illustration or departmental printing costs (only private printing costs). Please email your receipt and bank details after the meeting
