Annual Dinner

This year's annual dinner and disco will take place on the SS Great Britain. The ticket price of £60 includes a free self-guided tour of the ship; welcome reception; three courses sit down dinner with wine followed by a disco

 

Annual Abstract Prizes

BIPOSA is pleased to announce that once again it will be supporting early career researchers and newly qualified orthoptists. To encourage early career orthoptists and / or non-medic early career researchers to submit abstracts to participate in the annual meeting, the Executive Committee has agreed to waive the meeting registration fee for two individuals who are deemed to have submitted the best abstract.  The prizes will be awarded to the highest ranked abstracts submitted by early career orthoptists / non-medics early career researchers only.  In addition to the waiver of the registration fee, the Society will provide a modest travel bursary to go towards travel / accommodation to attend the meeting; the amount to be determined.

 

All submissions must follow the guidance laid down on the abstract form and be submitted via the online form before the deadline.  Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered for a prize.

Best Free Paper Presentation Prizes

 

There will be two presentation prizes (each to a value of £500) awarded in the following categories:

· medical which would be limited to medics in training

· best non-medic which would be limited to early career orthoptists / or early career researchers

 

posters and e-posters

This year BIPOSA will be inviting the ten best poster submissions to submit a traditional paper poster which will be displayed for the three days of the meeting (posters to be provided at the author's expense and attendance at the meeting).  If you wish your work to be poster only, please ensure you check the correct box on the abstract submission form

 

There will be a poster prize awarded for the best poster displayed at the meeting

 

BIPOSA Run - Thursday morning

A BIPOSA tradition is the 5 km early morning run suitable for all abilities.  Release those endorphins!
